GEN (R3): Gendarme Police Frigate. Year in Service: Y142. A specially-built class meant for police duties. It can carry two fighters, but often has administrative shuttles instead. They are occasionally pressed into military duty and referred to as ‘Pocket Lancers’.
INS (R6): Inspector Police Flagship. Year in Service: Y150. An expanded version of the Gendarme, it is a single ship that can be used for any role the police may need. They are considered 'true' minesweepers, scouts, marine ships and repair ships under all the relevant rules.
HN (C1): Hunter Frigate. Year in Service: Y134. Sometimes known as a suicide ship for its high loss rate, but this is generally because of overly aggressive captains. Wartime production: 4/year.
SC (C1): Scout. Year in Service: Y134. A small scout based off the Hunter (2 channels) used for reconnaissance, and occasionally used in police duties.
HNG (C1): Commando Hunter. Year in Service: Y138. A small commando ship.
FFT (CL29): Transport Frigate. Year in Service: Y150. Used mainly for high-priority, low-volume cargo hauling. It is also capable of carrying a single pod (inactive).
SAR (R3): Saracen Frigate Leader. Year in Service: Y145. Used to support and command frigate squadrons. Wartime production: 2/year.
LN (C1): Lancer Destroyer. Year in Service: Y134. Provided with 4xStinger-1s, in two shuttle bays, with a third for an actual shuttle. Wartime production: 4/year.
SR (R3): Commando Lancer. Year in Service: Y138. The standard Hydran commando ship.
SR (R3): Outrider Survey Ship. Year in Service: Y145. Used for exploration and survey duties, they occasionally serve as scouts, durring wartime.
PGS (CL22): Pegasus Scout. Year in Service: Y145. Not intended for combat, the Hydran police forces use four of these for traffic control, surveillance and customs enforcement.
TUG (C1): Caravan Tug. Year in Service: Y140. Used for the transport of military cargoes. The Hydran tug uses a unique flattened cylinder pallet design, as well as a great deal of internal cargo volume. It may only carry one pallet.
RN (C1): Ranger Cruiser. Year in Service: Y134. Standard complement, 9xStinger-1s in three bays. Wartime production: 2/year.
LC (R3): Lord Commander Command Cruiser. Year in Service: Y134. Uses a lengthened version of the Ranger hull. Has 6xStinger-1s in two bays, plus a third with three shuttles. Used to command cruiser squadrons and fleets.
TEM (R7): Templar Early Dreadnought. Year in Service: Y150. Wartime leader of a full fleet. During peacetime, these ships usually stay docked at a starbase. Bigger and more powerful than any other class, with better command facilities, it packs eight fusion beams into a single hull. Carries 12xStinger-1s in two bays, plus a third with three shuttles.
Annex: Pallets
P-C (C1): Cargo Pallet. Standard 24-box pod that can
be used to haul any sort of cargo in military convoys. Number available:
effectively infinite.
P-CE (R3): Early Combat Pallet. Used to enhance the
combat power of a tug, they allow a tug to be 'self-escorting' while delivering cargo
kept internally, or to generate an extra heavy unit in a military
emergency. Only 2 of these pods are in service at one time.
P-FC (C1): Shuttle Conveyor Pallet. Used to carry up
to 54 replacement fighters. They are stored two to a box, and can be prepped
and serviced for transfer to other ships, but not operated from the
pallet.
P-TT (C1): Troop Transport Pallet. This can be used
to transport any type of personnel, but when seen in combat (i.e., in SFB), it is
probably ferrying troops for a planetary invasion. It carries 340 crew
(people; 34 crew units), of which 300 are boarding parties. It has an
auxiliary bridge, impulse, shields, shuttles, and can land on planets
on its own. Only 2 of these pods are in service at one time.
P-SD (C1): Self-Defense Pallet. Trades cargo for
weapons for use in
dangerous areas. 12 cargo, 4 APR, 4 battery, 4xPh-G 360. Carries 100
crew (inc. 4 boarding parties) but cannot operate independently. While
numbers would be limited, there would be enough for any current demand.
Annex: Fighters
St-1
(C1): Stinger-1. The standard (and only) warp-powered
fighter craft. It mounts a Ph-3 and two fusion cannons.
