Q: So why the
Online Series Database?
A: Well, we've been wanting to
put Smudge's comic book work online for some time. However, as there
is getting to be quite an abundance, we need some way of managing
things. Thus a full fledged database system. Subscriptions are being
charged so as to help off set the equipment and labor costs it takes
to run something like this. But we have made a concerted effort to
try and keep the subscription cost as low as possible.
Q: What do I get
if I Subscribe to a Series?
A: A Subscription grants you
access to a Series Archive of previously posted material. Eventually,
when there is more than one Series available online, there will be
separate subscriptions for each unique Series.
Q: How often are
you going post something new?
A: We're hoping (baring life's
little disasters) to post a new Episode on the 15th of every month.
Q: Hey, I paid
for a Subscription but you didn't post anything this month!
A: Remember, a subscription
grants you access to what's already been posted, not what is to come.
With that being said, the first Series we're posting online is Ebin
& May, which has quite a backlog to it. We have more than
enough material to keep posting to the database without a skip for
quite some time.
Q: Are you going
to be posting Corus anytime in the near future?
A: No. We do not hold the rights
to do so.
Q: Are you going
to be posting Liberty from Hell anytime in the near future?
A: No, not not on BackBreaker.com, due to it's adult-ish nature.
However, it is available online hosted by Radio Comix' adult paysite.
Q:
Are you going to be doing any Original Series to post?
A: Possibly. A lot of it depends
on how well the Subscriptions do. If the Subscriptions do really
well, we will. But for now, this will just be an archive of previously
published work that is either hard to find, or out of print.
Q: Will you only
be posting Smudge's comic book work here?
A: Actually, no. This Database
is designed to handle any sort of Subscription serialized stuff, not
just comics. Eventually, you'll find animation, comic strips and possibly
prose here as well. And not just of Smudge's work. Baron's looking
at the possibility of doing his own online thing here too. Beyond
that, who knows where this thing will go. ;)
Technical Support Questions
Q: Help! I've
never gotten my Password!
A: Did you check your spam filter?
Make sure to tell your email program that messages from BackBreaker
Studios are not spam. For some, that means going into your White List
and stating that emails from our domain are okay, for others, it will
involve teaching your filter that the messages are not junk.
If you are using an AOL account, I suggest getting a free email account
somewhere else if you wish to receive any emails from BackBreaker
Studios (which include the email receipts from the shopping cart).
There's not much we can do for AOL users except recommend alternatives.
If you have checked your spam filter and the email has not appeared
within 2 hours, feel free to contact me at onlinecomicssupport@backbreaker.com
and I will personally confirm your email and change your password
to one that you choose.
Thank you for your patience in this matter.
